The Arches
is a very friendly, family run guesthouse, which prides itself on
cleanliness, a warm welcome and large breakfasts. Centrally
located within Whitby's West Cliff Conservation Area, The Arches is
close to all amenities and attractions. A five minutes walk will take
you to the centre of town and the sea front is just a short stroll away. This
is the ideal base for experiencing the old world charms of this historic
seaport, whose tranquil and pleasant atmosphere guarantees rest and
relaxation.
A choice
of en-suite Double, Family and Twin rooms cater for most guest's
requirements, and ground floor rooms are ideal for guests with
impaired mobility. Our 2 Single rooms have individual private bathrooms.
Less able
guests are requested to telephone to discuss their particular
requirements. Please note that access to The Arches is via a shallow
flight of 5 stone steps with hand rail. Regrettably, we The Arches is not
suitable for wheelchair bound guests.

Whatever your sexual orientation, colour or creed, you are always welcome
at The Arches.
All
rooms are centrally heated, have colour televisions, hospitality trays,
hairdryers, radio alarm clocks, air circulation fans and comfortable beds. Ironing facilities are available.
Pets,
with well behaved owners, are most welcome. (Donations to Whitby Dog
Rescue accepted).
Car Parking: Unrestricted free on-street parking is available.
Motorcycle Off-Street
parking available, bicycle storage by prior arrangement.
Group
bookings, including small school or college parties can be accommodated.
We also have an arrangement with the neighbouring Guest House to take
larger parties.
Packed
lunches and flask filling service available. Vegetarians
catered for. Guests
are requested to advise if they have any special dietary requirements or needs.
