is a very friendly, family run guesthouse, which prides itself on cleanliness, a warm welcome,
comfortable accommodation and large breakfasts. Centrally
located within Whitby's West Cliff Conservation Area, The Arches guest house is close to all of Whitby amenities and attractions.
A five minutes walk will take you to the centre of Whitby town and the sea front is just a short stroll away from there.
The Arches Guesthouse is the ideal base for experiencing the old world charms of Whitby, its history, a working
seaport and holiday resort. You will find a tranquil and pleasant atmosphere that guarantees rest and relaxation.
Guesthouse Accommodation
The Arches Guesthouse offers a choice of en-suite Double, Family and Twin rooms cater for most guest's
accommodation requirements with ground floor rooms that are ideal for
guests with impaired mobility. We have two Single rooms that have private
individual bathrooms.
Less Able Guests are requested to telephone
us to discuss their particular
and personal requirements. Please note that access to The Arches Guesthouse there is a shallow flight of 5 steps with hand rail.
Regrettably, The Arches Guesthouse is not suitable for wheelchair bound guests. A full Access Statement is available on request or

Gay Friendly
Whatever your sexual orientation, your colour or your creed, you are always welcome at The Arches Guesthouse
in Whitby.
All Guest House Rooms are centrally heated, have colour televisions, hospitality trays,
hairdryers, radio alarm clocks, air circulation fans and comfortable beds. Ironing facilities are available upon request.
Pets
with well behaved owners, are most welcome at the Arches Guest House. There is no charges fro your pets but donations to the Whitby Dog
Rescue is readily accepted.
PARKING
Please
NOTE: We do not have private parking,
but ample free and unrestricted On-Street car parking is available to
those with patience and forbearance. If you wish to take the hassle
out of parking in Whitby, and indeed many areas of
Scarborough
Borough, why not buy an Off-Street Advanced Parking Ticket from the
Whitby
Tourist Information Centre, Telephone 01723 232323. You may purchase
a minimum of two day and a maximum of seven day parking permits, which works
out considerably cheaper than the Pay & Display ticket from the car park machines.
Motorcycles Limited garage
parking is available with bicycle storage, by prior arrangement only.
Group
Bookings including small school or college parties can be
accommodated. We also have an arrangement with a neighbouring Guest House to take larger parties
between us. Sorry we do not
accept Stag or Hen night groups, nor touring sports teams.
Packed Lunches
with flask filling service available. Vegetarians catered for but guests are requested to advise if they have any special
dietary requirements or special needs.
